Layla Izabela is an actor and deviser based in Brooklyn, New York. She received her BA in Acting/International Performance Ensemble at Pace University. She has been a part of several inaugural readings and performed Off-Broadway. She is most drawn to new and devised works, and she thrives in the creative process.
Recently
Layla just completed a Suzuki and Viewpoints intensive at Atlantic Acting School and will continue her training with an additional intensive with the SITI Alumni Network in June and an apprenticeship with Contemporary Performance Practices in Dubrovnik, Croatia, led by Will Bond and Sarah Dowling, in July.
You may have seen her over the last two months in Living Radio at Under St Mark’s. You can catch her there again on June 1st before the summer hiatus. Happy Birthday David Attenborough! written by Andrew E. Jones, which debuted during May's Living Radio performance, was invited to be a part of the Legs 4 Days festival put on by W.A.D. at Court Square Theatre. The festival is May 25-28.
